The Emergency and Crisis Team in Ajman discusses the mechanisms for dealing with crises and disasters

Al Bayan/ Brigadier Mohamed Abdullah Alwan, Executive Director of the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman and the Deputy Head of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team, headed the Team’s periodic meeting which was attended by the directors and representatives of the federal and local entities in the Emirate of Ajman. During the meeting, the Team discussed the initiatives related to the action plan and the activities and projects for this year, which include updates on business continuity, the mechanism of dealing with incidents on the local level, the local response plans, and the local bodies’ evaluation of the business continuity program requirements.

Alwan praised the efforts of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team toward achieving and maintaining safety and security in the Emirate, and called for the consolidation of efforts and reinforcement of cooperation between members of this team to achieve the highest levels of readiness with respect to dealing with emergencies, disasters and crises.

At the end of the meeting, Brigadier General Alwan praised the achievements of the local team in the emergency, crisis and disaster management field, and stressed the importance of work and dedication, accelerating the rate of achievements, and developing the capacities and capabilities in order to meet the expectations and manage the emergencies in an optimal way.
