The National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority considers mutual cooperation with the United Kingdom

H.E. Dr. Jamal Mohammed Al Hosani, Director General of the National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, met in his Abu Dhabi office today a delegation representing the Home Department in the United Kingdom which was headed by Mr./ Kevin Jewell who is currently visiting the UAE. The two sides discussed ways to reinforce their mutual cooperation, the exchange of expertise and partnership in the field of emergency, crisis and disaster management, alongside other matters of mutual interest.

During the meeting, the British delegation was introduced to the emergency, crisis and disaster management system in the UAE which is implemented as per the approved emergency standards.

The two sides discussed the possibility of establishing and running joint programs and drills to enhance the preparedness and readiness levels in order to successfully deal with emergencies and crises of various kinds.

Mr./ Jewell praised the rapid and remarkable development that the UAE has achieved and its many pioneering accomplishments across all of its key sectors, including the security, safety and infrastructure sector. He also valued the Authority’s role in raising the level of preparedness and developing the necessary plans to prepare the country to various emergency, crisis and disaster scenarios.

The meeting was attended by delegation members, Dan Gallinger and Martha Tartbell, and H.E. Saif Mohammed Arhama Al Shamsi, Deputy Director General of the National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, as well as directors of the Authority’s departments.
