The National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority organizes a workshop on recovery planning

The National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority organized a workshop on recovery planning in which the Authority’s employees as well as representatives of the local and federal bodies in Abu Dhabi participated.

The workshop aims at raising the readiness and preparedness of the local cadres to deal with emergencies, crises and disasters across all levels as per the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management System. It also focused on the importance of the recovery phase and capacity building to deal with emergencies, crises and disasters until things return back to normal, and the importance of taking variables and causes into consideration and have a clear understanding of the future planning of disaster management to ensure the safety of all citizens and residents and the integrity of the various facilities and infrastructure.

At the conclusion of the workshop, His Excellency Saif Mohammed Arhama Al Shamsi, Deputy Director-General of the National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, honored the participants and praised their interest in developing their skills and capabilities in the field of recovery from disasters and crises. He also pointed out the importance of these workshops and their contribution to capacity building and utilizing the human resources to deal with all kinds of risks and threats.
