The National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority participates in organizing the emergencies, crises and disasters medicine training course

The National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority cooperated with the Emirates Cares Association in organizing a training course on emergencies, crises and disasters medicine. The course was held at Fatima College of Health Sciences - Abu Dhabi and targeted the volunteers of the Authority’s “National Duty” program.

In the course, the volunteers were trained on first aid, event management, and dealing with the injured during emergencies. Furthermore, a field hospital was established where several exercises were conducted to teach the participants how to treat and rescue the injured and the affected during emergency situations.

The organizers of the course, which is the first of its kind in the country, discussed the possibility of holding several versions of this course across the UAE to train around 300 volunteers in several stages.
