NCEMA holds 2 workshops on Business Continuity Management Monday, April 01, 2019 The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has held two workshops on business continuity management at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) in Fujairah and the National Center of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) in Abu Dhabi. The two training sessions were moderated by the NCEMA’s Business Continuity Department and delivered by Mr. Sultan Al-Zaidi, a trainer who is certified and authorized by NCEMA. In the workshops, the importance of understanding business continuity management was stressed. The trainer also explained the business continuity management model of the (AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2015) Standard. The principles of business continuity management, work strategies of the Business Continuity Department and techniques of the effective application of business continuity management were tackled in the workshops. Al-Zaidi clarified that the advanced understanding of the (AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7000:2015) Standard and other related legislations and guides, as well as full awareness of business continuity management support all parties concerned in the institutions, including managers, the higher management, organizational bodies and the public. He indicated that knowledge of all roles and responsibilities of the leadership team is necessary to applying an efficient and effective program of business continuity management. Participants stressed the importance of such workshops as they help them become fully aware of business continuity management methods to support all parties concerned in institutions, including managers, the higher management, organizational bodies and the public. They also stressed the need to know all roles and responsibilities of the concerned work teams in order to adopt an efficient and effective program.
