Safety and Prevention Department

The Department of Safety and Prevention develops standards and requirements to ensure business continuity along with the vital activities of the public institutions at the time of emergency, crisis, and disaster. Hence, it provides support, through training, information technology, field visits, and also through the management of the National Volunteers Program that aims to create a special volunteer base to handle emergencies, crises and disasters and train them to support the National Response efforts. Further, the department seeks to establish institutional safety and security standards, protection and prevention policies and procedures, researches and field studies supervision in addition to conducting the necessary surveys for identifying the potential risks so the department can prevent such risks. It also transfers and exchanges international expertise on safety and prevention standards, business continuity. The Department seeks to develop all of its operations and procedures to keep pace with the most sophisticated electronic systems pushing the services to their top levels.
