Media and Communication Department
The Department of Media and Communication plays a vital role to effect the media system, connect the Authority to national media institutions, and the public. It also raises the community’s awareness on the proper actions to be done before, during and after cases of emergency, crisis and disaster, and provide orientation and warning to the public in case of emergency.
This Department includes two divisions; the first is concerned with awareness and education, while the other collaborates with partners to manage a crisis from the media perspective through a special office that is dedicated to crisis management from the media perspective, dissemination of publications and visual materials, provide the website of the Authority with various materials. It also reaches out to the mass media to provide news and periodical press coverage.
