Alternative Service Department
The department undertakes the supervision, coordination, and follow-up of all programs related to the performance of alternative service in vital sectors across ministries, government departments, federal and local public authorities and institutions, as well as the private sector. This is carried out through the preparation, design, and implementation of specialized training programs and refresher programs, and by participating in measuring the efficiency of conscripts in coordination with the relevant entities. This contributes to supporting the continuity of national operations during emergencies, crises, and disasters across various vital sectors.
The department also oversees the preparation of policies, frameworks, and guidance manuals for the application, activation, and implementation of the Alternative Service Program. It is an active contributor to the Authority’s prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery system by providing conscripts to fill vital positions in critical sectors during emergencies, crises, and disasters.
